Dubai Travel Visa Types Available in 2026

For normal tourism in Dubai, GDRFA now lists 30-day and 60-day tourist visas. Both single-entry and multi-entry choices are available. The old page also showed 14-day and 90-day products as normal tourist visas. That is too broad today.

What About a 90-Day Visa?

A 90-day stay is still used for some UAE visit routes. But it should not be shown here as the default Dubai tourist visa. Current GDRFA tourist services focus on 30-day and 60-day stays. A family or friend visit can use other stay periods based on its own rules.

5-Year Multi-Entry Tourist Visa

The UAE also has a 5-year tourist visa for eligible travellers. It allows many visits, with up to 90 days per visit. The stay can reach a total of 180 days in one year when a valid extension is used.

This visa has extra rules. Current ICP terms include UAE health cover, a return ticket, and proof of a USD 4,000 bank balance or the same value in another currency during the six months before the visa request.

For the current Dubai tourist visa service, GDRFA lists about 48 hours as the expected service time. This is not a promise of approval in two days. Missing files or extra checks can add time. Weekends and holidays can also slow the case.

Dubai Travel Visa Extension

GDRFA now lets eligible tourist visas be extended for the same period. The visa office may allow one or more extensions. The total extension period must stay within the current limit, which GDRFA lists as up to 120 days.

The current tourist visa extension fee is AED 600 plus VAT. Extra inside-UAE charges can apply. The old claim that every 30-day or 60-day visa can be extended only once should not be used.

Overstay Fines and Visa Expiry

Do not stay after your legal stay ends. Current ICP visa services list an overstay fine of AED 50 per day. The date the fine starts can depend on the grace period for your exact visa type.

This means the old rule telling all tourists to assume there is no grace period is too broad. Check your stay date and act early if you need more time.
