Dubai Shopping Festival events bring shopping, entertainment, raffles, concerts and citywide winter activities together across Dubai. As of 25 August 2026, the official 2026-27 dates have not been announced.

The last confirmed edition ran for 38 days. It started on 5 December 2025 and ended on 11 January 2026. Use those dates only as past dates. Do not use them as next year's dates. This guide covers dates, sales, malls, shows, VAT refunds and UAE entry rules.

Dubai Shopping Festival Events 2026-27: Latest Date Status

Dubai DET and DFRE have not yet published the 2026-27 dates. So any exact date on an unofficial page is still only a guess.

Dubai DET confirmed the 31st edition dates. It ran from 5 December 2025 to 11 January 2026. It lasted 38 days. It included shopping, live shows, drones, raffles and family fun.

Mall of the Emirates

This mall is good for fashion, food and indoor fun. It is also convenient if you stay in Al Barsha.

Dubai Festival City Mall

Dubai Festival City Mall mixes shopping with a waterfront setting. Past DSF editions have used it for special shows.

City Centre Malls

City Centre Deira and Mirdif work well for families and daily shopping. They may feel less busy than Downtown.

Outlet Shopping

When Are the Biggest DSF Sales?

The 2026-27 sale dates are not confirmed yet. Do not assume the first or last week will have the best deal.

Past editions have used weekend offers, final sales and short retail campaigns. The new schedule should be checked once DFRE publishes it.

Yes. Eligible tourists can claim VAT back on some goods from registered shops.

The FTA says the tourist must be 18 or older and not live in the UAE. The purchase must be from a registered shop. Validation must be done within 90 days of the invoice date.

The minimum spend is AED 250 excluding VAT for each tax-free transaction. The service takes 13% of the VAT refund amount. It also takes AED 3.60 for each tax-free transaction.

Cash refunds are capped at AED 35,000. The FTA does not list the same cap for card refunds.

1. Shop at a retailer registered in the tourist refund scheme.
2. Ask for the tax-free transaction at purchase.
3. Keep the receipt and tax-free record.
4. Validate within 90 days of the invoice date.

6. Validate before checking in goods that may need inspection.
7. Choose the available refund method.

Do not lose the tax-free record before leaving the UAE. Keep all shopping papers together.

Best Time to Visit Dubai Shopping Festival

The best time depends on your goal. Go earlier if you care about product choice and sizes. Visit on weekdays if you want lighter mall crowds.

For entertainment, wait for the official show calendar. For sales, check each retailer's live campaign instead of assuming every late-festival date is cheaper.

You do not need to stay for the whole DSF season. A short trip can cover key malls and one or two events.

Day 1: Check in, visit Dubai Mall and spend the evening in Downtown Dubai.
