Step 0 — Know Before You Apply

Do You Need a UAE Visa From the UK?

Whether you need to apply in advance depends on your passport nationality, not simply where you live. The UAE has two different rules for people travelling from the United Kingdom — make sure you know which applies to you before you do anything else.

Visa On Arrival — No Application Needed

British Passport Holders (UK Citizens)

If you hold a full British passport with right of abode, you receive a free 90-day visa on arrival at any UAE airport. No form, no fee, no advance application required.

  • Passport must be valid for at least 6 months from entry date
  • Visa stamp given on arrival — nothing to do before you fly
  • Extendable once from inside the UAE
  • Valid across all 7 UAE Emirates
Note: British Overseas Citizens (BOC) passports and UK Travel Documents are not eligible for visa on arrival. Holders must obtain a pre-approved UAE visa before travel.
Pre-Approved Visa Required

UK BRP, eVisa & ILR Holders (Non-British Passports)

If you live in the UK but hold a non-British passport, you must obtain a pre-approved UAE tourist visa before travelling. This covers anyone with:

  • UK eVisa share code (replaced BRP from late 2024)
  • Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR)
  • Skilled Worker Visa
  • Student Visa or Family Visa
  • Any former BRP card (now converted to eVisa)
2024/2025 BRP → eVisa Change: All UK BRPs expired in December 2024 and were replaced by the digital UK eVisa system. When applying for your UAE visa, provide your eVisa share code instead of a physical BRP copy.
Nationality-Specific Restrictions for UK Residents: Pakistani nationals under 45, and nationals of Syria, Lebanon, Algeria, Tunisia, and Jordan under 45, cannot apply for a UAE visa individually — they must apply in the family visa category (as spouse or child). Bangladeshi passport holders currently face a significantly reduced approval rate. Contact our team via WhatsApp for the latest status before applying.

Application Process

How to Apply for a UAE Visa From the UK — Step by Step

The entire process is 100% online. No embassy visit, no appointment, no physical paperwork. Here is exactly how it works from start to finish.

1

Select Your Visa Type & Nationality

Choose the visa duration and entry type that matches your travel plan — 14, 30, or 60 days; single or multiple entry. Your passport nationality determines eligibility, not your UK address. Use the visa cards on this page or the nationality selector on the homepage.

2

Fill the Online Application Form

Enter your personal details exactly as they appear on your passport. A name mismatch between your application and passport is the most common cause of delays — double-check the spelling of every field, including middle names.

3

Upload Your Documents

Upload a clear scan of your passport data page and a recent white-background photo. UK BRP / eVisa holders also attach proof of UK residence status (eVisa share code confirmation or ILR letter). You can send documents directly via WhatsApp if you prefer — our team handles the rest.

4

Choose Processing Speed & Pay Securely

Select standard (3–4 working days) or express (24–48 hours) processing. Payment is made securely online by credit or debit card. You receive a payment link once your documents have been verified by our team internally.

5

Receive Your UAE e-Visa by Email & WhatsApp

Once approved by UAE immigration authorities, your e-visa PDF is delivered to your email and WhatsApp. Print it or show the PDF on your phone at check-in and on arrival. No sticker or stamp is needed in your passport before you travel.

Before You Travel

UAE Entry Rules UK Travellers Must Know (2026)

Overstay Fines — Effective February 2026:
Overstaying your UAE visa results in a fine of AED 50 per day with zero grace period. This unified rate applies across all visa categories. Depart or extend before your visa expiry date.
Visa Approval ≠ Guaranteed Entry:
A UAE visa approval does not guarantee entry. The final decision rests with UAE immigration officers at the port of entry. Factors including travel history and onward plans may be considered upon arrival.
UK eVisa Update (2024–2025):
All UK BRPs expired in December 2024 and were replaced by the digital UK eVisa (share code) system. When applying for a UAE visa from the UK, provide your eVisa share code in place of a physical BRP copy.
Extending Your UAE Visa Inside Dubai:
You can extend a UAE tourist visa without leaving the country via a 30-day or 60-day inside-country extension, or an A2A (Air-to-Air) visa change. Contact our team via WhatsApp for guidance on the right option for you.
Medications & Restricted Items:
Some medications legal in the UK require a prescription certificate to bring into the UAE. Check the UAE Ministry of Health portal or contact the UAE Embassy in London before travelling with prescription drugs.
All 7 UAE Emirates Covered:
Your UAE tourist visa is valid for entry at all international airports across all seven Emirates — Dubai (DXB / DWC), Abu Dhabi (AUH), Sharjah (SHJ), and more. You can travel freely between Emirates on a single visa.

Avoid Mistakes

Common Reasons UAE Visa Applications Are Delayed or Rejected

Most UAE visa delays from the UK are caused by simple, avoidable errors. Our team reviews every application before submission — but knowing these pitfalls in advance will help your application sail through first time.

Blurry or invalid passport photo

Coloured backgrounds, sunglasses, face partially obscured, or low-resolution images are automatically rejected by UAE immigration.

Passport validity under 6 months

Your passport must be valid for at least six months from your intended date of entry into the UAE, not just from today's date.

Name mismatch on the application

The name on your application form must exactly match your passport — including middle names, hyphens, and spelling variations.

Incorrect nationality selection

Select your passport nationality, not your country of residence. A Pakistani national living in London selects Pakistan — not the UK.

Invalid UK residence document

Submitting an expired BRP or incorrect eVisa share code details causes immediate rejection. Always verify your share code is active before applying.

Poor quality passport scan

Every character on the data page must be clearly readable. Use a flatbed scanner or a well-lit, straight-on phone photo with no glare or shadow.

Tip: Before submitting your UAE visa application from the UK, make sure your passport scan, photo, nationality, and UK residence status details are clear and correct.

Your Questions Answered: Dubai Visitor Visa from United Kingdom

British passport holders (UK citizens with right of abode) receive a free 90-day visa on arrival in the UAE. No advance application is needed. Non-British passport holders residing in the UK — including BRP, eVisa share code, and ILR holders — must obtain a pre-approved UAE visa before travelling.

Yes. UK BRP and eVisa share code holders can apply for a UAE tourist visa online from the UK. Eligibility depends on passport nationality, not UK residency alone. A copy of your UK residence document (eVisa share code, ILR letter, or valid BRP) is required alongside your passport.

Standard UAE visa processing from the UK typically takes 3–4 working days. Express processing is available and can reduce this to 24–48 hours, subject to eligibility and application completeness.

The mandatory documents are: a clear scanned copy of your passport (valid for at least 6 months, with a minimum of 2 blank pages), a recent passport-sized photograph on a plain white background, and for non-British passport holders, a copy of your UK residence document (eVisa share code, ILR, or BRP). No hotel booking or confirmed return flight is required when applying through Dubai Visitor Visa.

UAE visa service fees from the UK vary by visa type. Indicative service package prices start from: 30-day single entry from $120, 60-day single entry from $400, 30-day multiple entry from $350, and 60-day multiple entry from $600. These are service package estimates inclusive of processing fees. Visa approval is subject to UAE immigration authority discretion.

Depending on the visa type you choose, you can stay in Dubai for 14 days, 30 days, or 60 days. British passport holders on visa on arrival receive 90 days. Overstaying results in a fine of AED 50 per day with no grace period, effective from February 2026.

Yes. You can extend a UAE tourist visa from inside the country through an A2A (Air-to-Air) visa change or an inside-country extension. 30-day and 60-day extensions are available. Contact our team via WhatsApp for guidance on which extension option suits your situation.

Yes. Pakistani passport holders residing in the UK require a pre-approved UAE visa. Pakistani nationals under the age of 45 cannot apply individually and must apply in the family visa category (as husband, wife, or child). This restriction also applies to nationals of Syria, Lebanon, Algeria, Tunisia, and Jordan under 45.

Yes. The entire UAE visa application process is conducted online and is available to applicants across all UK cities — London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Glasgow, Bristol, or anywhere else. No physical office visit is required at any stage. You apply, upload documents, and receive your visa entirely online.

A UAE e-Visa is a digital visa issued as a PDF document — there is no physical sticker or stamp placed in your passport before travel. Once approved, you receive the PDF by email and WhatsApp. At the airport check-in desk and upon arrival in the UAE, you present this PDF (printed or on your phone screen) alongside your passport.
